In Case You Missed It, My CD Pre-Release Party Rocked
Post date: Jun 15, 2012 2:01:29 AM
Just in case you missed the virtual CD pre-release party for my new album, Cherchez La Femme, it rocked. For those who couldn’t attend the VIP reception and Google Plus Hangout, which included online giveaways of the pre-sale package, I encourage you to sign up for my mailing list on scottcooley.com to receive a free song download. Special guests enjoyed exclusive access to my band as well as a live rendition of the song I Did A Bad Thing, track #2 on the new record.
The big official release day is my birthday, June 21st, when you’ll be able to get your very own CD from Amazon. Fortunately, there’s no danger of selling out, so anytime you want to you can navigate over to Amazon.com, pay with a credit card and they will shrink wrap it, package it up and mail it to you. We highly recommend the physical CD, and it’s but a few clicks/bucks/days away from being in your hands. Otherwise, it will also be available for streaming and/or MP3 download from all the major online music sites like Google Play, iTunes, Rhapsody, Spotify, etc.
To listen first before you decide to purchase it, you can play the entire album online for free at Bandcamp (scottcooley.bandcamp.com). These aren’t preview clip samples, they are entire songs available for you to stream online anytime to try before you buy.
As a debut teaser, I’m offering a free track-for-a-tweet giveaway for those of you who like Twitter. As a special opportunity just for you, you can now get the studio version of I Did A Bad Thing for free in exchange for just one post: trkurl.com/6IhqRM. That’s right, if you post to twitter or facebook the retweet message here (http://www.tweetforatrack.com/ScottCooley), this song (track #2 from my new full-length album Cherchez La Femme), is yours. You can download it and play it instantly and keep it forever, but that’s not all...
There’s still time between now and the release date (my birthday – June 21st) to get the last track from my last album (2010’s Sense Of Belonging) called The Invisible Man as a free download from Noisetrade (http://noisetrade.com/scottcooley), where you’re also able to leave a “tip” for me which I’ll donate along with all tips received to the South Flint Soup Kitchen for the benefit of the homeless in Flint, MI.
Your generous support allows me to make music and you deserve my sincere thanks for making my dream of growing album sales and increased licensing interest in my songs a reality. So, thanks again – if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be able to continue writing, recording and releasing songs and albums. Don’t forget that if you feel so inclined, you can share links to the albums and songs at your favorite online music store sites with people in your social networks and be even more cool because of it.
