As in Before Christ, but really as in the comic strip that has been in newspapers since I was a kid. The strip has probably changed over the years to be more politically correct, but it used to have a recurring scene in which a caveman would club a cavewoman over the head and drag her into his cave. It was supposed to be funny, I think.

It also had something about it where I liked the philosophical text. Maybe that's how mating worked back then, who knows. I meant it to be a funny song, so hopefully no one thinks I personally believe it's a good dating strategy or anything. I think everyone who reads about the past, or watches a movie set back in time, has at least wondered what it would be like to live back then.

The comic strip and cartoons and even movies that have cavemen in them have always made me think about the interesting parts of living back then, and this is the manifestation of those kinds of thoughts, I guess. It had to have marimba in it, and bongos.
