Ever since that show came on, she's wanted to be like them
Wearing five hundred dollar shoes, designer clothes and designer men
There's always exciting things to do
Like goin'out to the hottest clubs
Or stayin' home with their toys, takin' long baths in their tubs
Who wouldn't want to see themselves on the side of a bus
But still I just won't ever understand all the fuss
All she wants to do is watch Sex and the City
It's such a pity, she's got no time for her man
All she wants to do is watch some dude they call Big
I'd like to have that gig, cause she's his biggest fan
Carrie gets to do this, Carrie gets to do that
And I never get to watch my own TV
What about me?

So she can call him up on the phone and tell him about her day
She wants to go to fashion shows and see the latest bikini's
She wants to drink cosmopolitans and dirty martini's
Who wouldn't want to see themselves on the side of a bus
But still I just won't ever understand all the fuss
All she wants to do is watch Sex and the City

I know she needs a break from working eight to five
Doin' our dishes and laundry, but I couldn't help but wonder why?
So I watched a couple episodes, even got to see some boobies
Still don't get it, never should've bought her those DVDs
